CHARLOTTE'S STORY
Charlotte Field was the Senior Vice President, Charter Communications - Applications Platform Operations. In this role, Field was responsible for operations associated with video and all other service delivery applications including network security. Prior to Charter, Charlotte was the Senior Vice President of Infrastructure and Operations for Comcast, handling engineering and technical operations. Field led a combined organization responsible for supporting the Comcast national infrastructure and operations for both the Enterprise and Customer Facing Networks/Products. Prior to Comcast, Charlotte was Senior Vice President for Technical and Network Operations Organization for AT&T Broadband. Field also held numerous technical and managerial assignments in AT&T Bell Laboratories, AT&T Long Lines and AT&T Communications. Her assignments included positions in engineering, operations, and systems development.
Field graduated from Michigan Technological University with a degree in Electrical Engineering. She received her Master's of Business Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a focus in Finance. Charlotte is also a graduate of INSEAD Advanced Management Program and Harvard’s Advanced Management Program. Field is a member of Eta Kappa Nu, Tau Beta Pi and Delta Mu Delta honor societies. She is an active member of the Michigan Technological University Presidential Council of Alumnae and previously the Michigan Technological University Engineering Advisory Board and the University of Colorado Engineering Advisory Board. Charlotte also was a member of the FCC TAC and was chair of the Communications, Security, Reliability and Interoperability Council for CSRIC VII .
Field is also a member of Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT) and the Society of Cable and Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE). In 2004, she was recognized by the Rocky Mountain WICT as a Walk of Fame Inductee. In 2005, she received the Women in Technology Award, named a Wonder Woman by Multichannel News, and a top woman in Technology by CableFAX. In 2023, she was honored with a Lifetime Achievement award from Rocky Mountain WICT.
